If you’ve been following us on Facebook or Instagram lately, then you’ve probably heard about our recent John Hardy Launch Party and Trunk Show. We recently joined forces with Sooley Designs to welcome this world-renowned, gorgeous jewellery line into our Diamond Design family in the biggest way possible.
You might have missed that we were also raising money for the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. And this past Friday, our owner, Pat Thompson, and Megan Sooley of Sooley Designs had the sheer pleasure of presenting our $3160 donation to this amazing organization.
The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador promotes the development of individual, lifelong, and community-based supports and services for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and caregivers. Their goal is helping to create a province where people with ASD and their families are respected, and where they receive services and supports based on their individualized differences, needs and preferences.
We were pleased to meet with Elaine Dobbin and all the amazing workers over at the Elaine Dobbin Centre, which offers programing options for individuals with ASD and their families, It was wonderful to meet such dedicated people and see all the hard work they’re doing for our community.
If you’re interested in supporting this organization, too, please see here. And they also have a very active community events calendar you can find here. Finally, we’d like to thank all the people who came out to our Launch Party (including Hair Factory and The Beverage Baron!), for helping us to raise money for such a deserving cause.
